Telecom Italia SpA and Huawei Technologies said Friday they have signed a long-term agreement to bolster collaboration in several technological fields.

The deal was signed during a meeting between Chinese vice-Presisdent Xi Jinping and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi the day after Italy's Republic Day ceremonies drew dignitaries from around the world.
