At the CARPHONEWAREHOUSE HP TouchPad website, there is an HP Apps Catalogue icon. When you place your mouse on it the following footnote shows up:
Carphonewarehouse is an european site and it is not clear if the number 15,000 is about fifteen or fifteen thousand applications.
More likely fifteen thousand as there were around more than 7.000 (seven thousand) apps available for the webOS smartphones that might be resized for the TouchPad and about new 8.000 brand new apps for it, taking us to a real possibility of 15.000 apps available at the TouchPad launch.
However this amount of applications is not officialy confirmed by HP at this time, and how the before native smartphones webOS applications will be loaded on the TouchPad.
