Latin America : Samsung launches mobile gaming contest.

Samsung has kicked off its fourth mobile challenge competition for Latin America, in conjunction with World Cyber Games (WCG).

The WCG 2011 Samsung Mobile Challenge (SMC) in Latin America has a prize fund of US$65,000, which will go to the players who gets the highest scores on the Asphalt 6 motor-racing game.

Participants need to have a Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone and log on to Samsung Apps to download the Asphalt 6 game for free.

The competition will run between 25 September and 23 October, and gamers will submit their scores to the ranking system. The top scorers will also win the chance to take part in the WCG 2011 Pan American Championship with two winders invited to the WCG Grand Final in Busan, South Korea in December.

Five Latin America countries – Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Mexico and Peru – will be part of the 27 countries involved in the challenge worldwide.
